You may prefer the gentler look and feel of natural products such as willow or wool, when having to choose an appropriate casket for a child. Or perhaps a wooden casket painted in softer pastel shades, or pure white, feel more fitting. We are here to help you make this incomprehensible choice.
A beautiful white willow cradle, which comes with a willow keepsake flower made from the willow used to make the casket. Can be personalised with coloured ribbons, liners, and banding.
If you prefer a more traditional shape, the Oxford is also available in a whole range of colours, and can be engraved with their name if you wish.
Soft and snuggly wool felt in a gentle oval shape, the stitching can be natural, pink, or blue, and comes with a personalised hand embroidered nameplate
Available in blue, ink, yellow, or white, the Heartwood is a dignified casket with graceful mouldings and side details.
A wooden casket decorated with images from the nursery rhyme Hey Diddle Diddle. Also available with scenes from Noah’s Ark, Wand Fairies, Teddy Bears, and Little Angels.
An elegant casket fitted with silver mouldings, which is also available in pink and blue, and can be decorated with a selection of nursery images.
White willow wraps around in a soft oval shape, which comes with a keepsake flower made out of the willow used to make the casket. It is also possible to choose from a variety of colour options for the banding, fastenings, bows, and liners.

Your guidance, compassion and love were second to none, nothing was ever any trouble for you and I can’t thank you enough for your unwavering support at one of the most difficult times of my life. I will always particularly remember how you went out of your way to give mum the burial she wanted. The service was beautiful and went so smoothly, we were so well looked after by your very respectful and professional team. They managed the whole process for us in the most respectful, gentle, personal and painless fashion. They carefully found out exactly what the family wishes were and quietly coordinated absolutely everything for us from start to finish. Jon Waterman5 June 2024Nikki took the very best care of my Mum and I when we lost my Dad unexpectedly while away in Spain. This is the first time we have had to deal with a death in the family and made more difficult with having to repatriate my Father from Spain but Nikki took us through the next steps with great care & compassion. On the day of the service at the Cremation, Clive and the funeral team were the most professional in guiding us in and out of the service and were all very helpful friendly and approachable at that awful time and made the service the best it could be. Victoria the Celebrant that Nikki recommended was also amazing in helping to prepare and then presenting at the service with great compassion and read the tribute to my Father amazingly. Noone wants to have to deal with a death in the family of course, but when you have to I simply cannot recommend Barringtons any more highly, and my family and I will always be very grateful for everything they have done for us. Thank you.

From the first phone call to the end of the process I felt I was with family. The whole team at Barringtons Nikki, Lisa Victoria, Clive and all team on the day itself are just amazing. Clive is one in a million. They all knew what I wanted for my father in law and they made a horrible time so so special. I did not think I would come away from his funeral feeling that it had been just that - special. They are the friendliest most lovley ladies I could have wished to meet and at such a sad time. Thank you isn’t enough nor are five stars. I will never forget what you have done for us as a family

Melvyn Wise23 April 2024Today I said Goodbye to my Father, I thought the day would be very difficult for me, but I was calm and relaxed because I used BARRINGTONS FUNERAL DIRECTORS from Bishops Stortford. From the very first day they showed a very personal touch in caring for my Father. This all came across as being part of their normal procedure with the love and affection you can only dream of for your loved ones. Any questions I had would be dealt with in a professional manner and always ready to assist in everything I needed. They also have a lovely Civil Celebrant named Victoria who was amazing today. As a family at the most difficult upsetting time you treat us with dignity and respect made us feel at ease you did all the hard work for us but most of all you looked after and cared for my nan the way you did with love care dignity and respect I will forever be greatful. when visiting nan at your Chaple of rest she looked absolutely beautiful it was calm we was reassured it’s all ok nans comfortable and peaceful felt like a weight had been lifted. Nan was now in a safe place with you guys before heading to her final resting place. And a big thank you to Victoria for such a beautiful service she gave to my nan and us as a family. As well as keeping mum safe, comfortable and peaceful over 3 weeks you have been there for us in every way. We could not have asked for more in helping us prepare for mum’s funeral - you literally thought of everything to ensure that mum’s final rest and journey was comfortable, peaceful, beautiful. Everything from the wicker casket, chapel of rest, beautiful flowers arranged by Beverley, doves, order of service design, amazing celebrant, transport via Conewood nursing home. One aspect that I draw on and I know will stay with me forever is visiting my mum in the chapel of rest. Seeing mum so peaceful enabled me to say goodbye in a most beautiful setting. At Barringtons you provide a personal and professional service but so much more - what will stay with us is the unlimited time you gave us as a family during a most difficult time. We can never thank you enough. XX
Katie Clark23 February 2024The understanding and genuine care felt from Nikki and Lisa at Barringtons made everything so much easier. They were sensitive and professional at all times but with a personal touch which left us feeling like friends were helping us to organise everything. They even gave us a lift somewhere once! I would highly recommend the service. They also told us about a lovely Celebrant called Victoria who we used and who had a similar way.
